The absence of a copyright notice on any individual item does not mean that the item is unprotected or has been placed in the public domain.
2. Permitted Personal Use
You may access and view this website for your own lawful, personal, and noncommercial use.
You may share an unaltered link directing others to a publicly available page or episode on this website, provided that you:
-
Do not suggest that November 8 Studios, LLC or Frayed sponsors, endorses, or is affiliated with you;
-
Do not misrepresent the content or the source of the content;
-
Do not place the content within a frame or interface that conceals its original source;
-
Do not use the link in connection with unlawful, defamatory, misleading, or commercially exploitative material; and
-
Do not remove or obscure copyright, trademark, attribution, or other proprietary notices.
No other permission or license is granted merely because content is publicly accessible.
3. Uses Requiring Prior Written Permission
Except where expressly permitted by applicable law, you may not copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit, distribute, sell, license, modify, translate, adapt, create derivative works from, publicly display, publicly perform, or commercially exploit any protected content from this website without prior written authorization from November 8 Studios, LLC.
Written permission is required before you:
-
Reproduce a full or substantial portion of an episode, script, transcript, article, graphic, photograph, or webpage;
-
Use Frayed content in another podcast, video, documentary, book, course, presentation, publication, website, application, or social-media account;
-
Sell, license, monetize, syndicate, or commercially distribute any Frayed or November 8 Studios content;
-
Use podcast audio or video clips in advertising, promotional campaigns, sponsorship materials, or monetized media;
-
Translate, dramatize, reenact, remix, edit, sample, or adapt protected content;
-
Create merchandise using Frayed or November 8 Studios names, logos, artwork, slogans, or designs;
-
Use content for artificial-intelligence training, machine-learning datasets, voice synthesis, voice cloning, digital replicas, automated narration, biometric modeling, or generative-content systems;
-
Scrape, crawl, harvest, index, collect, or systematically extract website content for the creation of a database, commercial product, competing service, training corpus, or content archive;
-
Remove watermarks, copyright notices, credits, metadata, technological protections, or rights-management information; or
-
Present protected content in a manner that falsely suggests authorship, ownership, sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation.
Permission granted for one particular use does not authorize any other use. Any authorization must be in writing and may be subject to attribution requirements, licensing terms, fees, geographic limitations, time restrictions, or other conditions.
4. Quotations, Commentary, and Media References
Limited quotation or reference to Frayed content may be permissible without advance authorization when allowed by applicable copyright law, including fair use.
Fair use is a fact-specific legal doctrine. Merely providing attribution, stating that a use is educational, adding a disclaimer, or using content without earning money does not automatically make the use lawful.
When quoting or discussing Frayed content, you should:
-
Use only the amount reasonably necessary for the legitimate purpose;
-
Provide clear attribution to Frayed and November 8 Studios, LLC;
-
Link to the original webpage or episode when practical;
-
Avoid reproducing the central or most commercially valuable portions of the work;
-
Avoid substituting for the original work or harming its actual or potential market; and
-
Avoid implying endorsement, authorization, or affiliation.
November 8 Studios, LLC does not waive any rights or concede that a particular use qualifies as fair use merely because it has not immediately objected to that use.
5. Educational and Classroom Requests
Teachers, educational institutions, libraries, researchers, nonprofit organizations, and professional training programs should request written permission before reproducing or distributing complete episodes, scripts, transcripts, images, downloadable materials, or substantial excerpts.
Requests should identify:
-
The specific material requested;
-
The portion to be used;
-
The educational or research purpose;
-
The anticipated audience;
-
The method of distribution;
-
Whether access will be public or restricted;
-
Whether any fee, tuition, admission, subscription, or other payment is involved; and
-
The dates or length of time the material will be used.
Educational status alone does not automatically authorize reproduction or distribution.
6. Requests for Permission
To request permission to use content owned or controlled by November 8 Studios, LLC, email:
Please use the subject line:
Copyright Permission Request
Your request should include:
-
Your full name and contact information;
-
The name of your organization, publication, platform, or project;
-
A precise description or link identifying the requested material;
-
The exact portion you wish to use;
-
How, where, and for what purpose the material will be used;
-
Whether the use will be commercial, promotional, monetized, educational, charitable, or personal;
-
The expected audience, circulation, distribution, or number of views;
-
The countries or territories where the material will appear;
-
The requested duration of use; and
-
Any proposed edits, translations, adaptations, or accompanying content.
Submitting a request does not grant permission. No use is authorized unless November 8 Studios, LLC provides express written approval.
Silence, failure to respond, past tolerance, informal discussion, social-media interaction, or receipt of a request does not constitute consent.
7. Third-Party Materials
This website and the Frayed podcast may discuss or reference third-party materials, including public records, court filings, government documents, news reporting, books, photographs, recordings, videos, broadcasts, social-media posts, interviews, and other published sources.
Ownership of third-party materials remains with the respective copyright owners. The inclusion of a reference, quotation, excerpt, image, document, or other third-party material does not transfer ownership to November 8 Studios, LLC.
Where third-party material is used, November 8 Studios, LLC intends to do so pursuant to permission, license, public-domain status, applicable law, or principles such as criticism, commentary, news reporting, scholarship, research, or fair use.
Attribution is provided when reasonably available and appropriate. An attribution does not necessarily mean that the copyright owner sponsors, approves, endorses, or is affiliated with Frayed or November 8 Studios, LLC.
Anyone who believes that material has been credited incorrectly or used without appropriate authorization may contact:
Please identify the material, its location, the claimed owner, and the basis of the concern so that the matter can be reviewed.
8. Public Records and Government Materials
Certain court records, statutes, judicial opinions, government publications, and works created by employees of the United States government as part of their official duties may not be protected by federal copyright law.
However, the availability of a document through a government office, court system, records request, public website, or public-records database does not necessarily mean that every component of the document is in the public domain or free from privacy, confidentiality, contractual, publicity-right, trademark, or copyright restrictions.
November 8 Studios, LLC claims copyright only in its original expression, commentary, narration, selection, arrangement, research organization, presentation, and other protectable contributions—not in underlying facts or materials that are lawfully in the public domain.
9. User Submissions and Communications
Unless separate written terms state otherwise, sending an idea, case suggestion, correction, document, photograph, recording, story, message, email, or other material to November 8 Studios, LLC does not transfer ownership of that material.
By voluntarily submitting material for possible use, you represent that:
-
You have the right to submit it;
-
Your submission does not violate another person’s copyright, privacy, confidentiality, publicity, contractual, or other legal rights;
-
The information you provide is truthful to the best of your knowledge; and
-
Your submission does not contain unlawful material.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you grant November 8 Studios, LLC a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to review, store, reproduce, and internally evaluate the submission for editorial, legal, verification, security, and production purposes.
November 8 Studios, LLC is not obligated to use, publish, return, preserve, investigate, or respond to unsolicited submissions. Do not submit confidential information, privileged communications, original creative concepts, or materials that you do not want reviewed under these terms.
Any broader public or commercial use of submitted material should be governed by a separate written release, license, interview agreement, or other authorization where appropriate.

The names November 8 Studios, Frayed, the Frayed tagline, logos, artwork, trade dress, episode branding, and related brand elements may constitute trademarks, service marks, trade names, or other protected identifiers of November 8 Studios, LLC, whether or not formally registered.
Nothing on this website grants a right or license to use these brand features.
You may not use them:
-
As part of a business, podcast, publication, product, domain name, username, account name, hashtag campaign, advertisement, or merchandise line;
-
In a manner likely to cause confusion regarding source, sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement;
-
In a manner that dilutes, disparages, misrepresents, or damages the brand; or
-
In connection with unlawful, misleading, defamatory, or objectionable content.
Nominative references must be truthful, limited, and no more prominent than reasonably necessary to identify the subject being discussed.
11. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Use Restrictions
Except where prohibited by applicable law, no person or entity may use content from this website, the Frayed podcast, or November 8 Studios productions to:
-
Train, develop, test, validate, benchmark, fine-tune, or improve an artificial-intelligence or machine-learning system;
-

Any exception must be granted through a separate written license signed by an authorized representative of November 8 Studios, LLC.
